Project Post: Cafe Habana

Grilled Mexican Corn          So theres a thing about me.... Im a sucker for good food. So bad that i tear a little in my eye if the plate is to dye for... So when my girlfriend told me that her best friend had invited us on a double date to this cool Cafe in Soho I was all in. Im not going to lie we were a bit concened on the parking and the price of the spot, we are college students so we really cant throw down hundreds on meals lol. But after 10 minutes of searching for parking and 15 minutes of waiting in line to get in...believe me it was all worth it. Since the restaurant is in Soho it is a bit small seats about 30-40 people. Its quite crowded so you will have butts in your face as people try to walk to the bathroom or the door so only go there if its casual and definately not in groups of more than 4. As a starter her best firends boyfriend Wanthony suggested the corn on the cob. But ladies and gents this was no ordinary corn on the cob it was grilled to perfection with creamy cheese sprikled over it and a bit of spicy delight, believe me if i knew these were going to be as good as they were I would have ordered 6, and for 4.25 for two you cant go wrong.

The corn wasnt the only good thing about this place their drinks and food are too, their cocktails are so strong your sure to get a buzz and trust me mixing Jarritos into a margarita is just wrong (orange soda with half a cup of tequila who does that???)  After a little talking and making fun of the girls because they couldnt finish their drinks our entree finally came. Sweet rice with grilled shimp sauted in lemon and pepper ohh it was so good i cried a bit (no lie)... O Cafe Habana you were so good to us ( but not literally because the waitresses were a bit iffy lol. An awesome double date with great foodwhat more can a man ask for?
